Poetry With Style - The Rant

I don't really know how to describe 'The Rant'. I have found many examples of Rants on the internet, but have not yet found a definition. I guess it is just an expression of frustration, anger, anxiety or whatever, which springs forth from ones inner being. When I write a Rant, I like to use little or no punctuation. This gives the reader the feeling that the words are just poring out of the writer, and hopefully gives them the feelings of the writer's frustration with the situation being described.
I have previously submitted a few other Rants on this site. Perhaps you would like to check them out also. One is called, "Whose Got Milk? - Beware!". Another is called, "Leaders of Corruption", and the last one is called, "Drowning In Society".
The first one, "Who's Got Milk? - Beware!" came about after a trip to California. I was raised around dairy farms, but that was back in the 1950's and I was not prepared for the way I saw cattle being treated on the California dairy farm of the 1990's.
The second rant, "Leaders Of Corruption" came about by watching the evening political news.
The third rant, "Drowning In Society" came about when I made a simple phone call to a company for some assistance. Well, there was no assistance, only a run-around and some telephone agent saying that there was nothing he could do.
The following rant, "With Crimes Never Ending" came about after watching the evening news, and "Hypocrite!" came about just by listening to people talk.
Rants are really not that hard to write. You just need to have a passion for a subject or situation. Then get your pen out and start ranting.
With Crimes Never Ending
Crimes are committed
While some are imprisoned
Some others acquitted
The judges in courthouses
Speak for the masses
While reading the charges
They often need glasses
And time spent in prison
Is often so lacking
Now where is the justice
When crime has the backing
Our laws need correcting
They need some enforcing
For people's protection
Our safety endorsing
The government's sleeping
The lawmakers hiding
The criminals laughing
While getting a chiding
And into the future
With crimes never ending
Our leaders are making
More laws they are bending.
Hypocrite!
and we should do likewise
yet you talk behind ones back
if they dress differently
or speak in a foreign tongue
or have skin a different shade from yours.
HYPOCRITE! You say, Thou shalt not steal
yet you cheat on your income tax
or fail to tell the store clerk
that she has given you too much change.
HYPOCRITE!
mosque, synagogue or temple
because they are full of hypocrites
yet you will spend hours in the local pub
surrounded by some
who pose as good family-men
yet cheat on their wives
or you befriend so-called law abiding citizens
who think that driving faster than the posted speed
is just part of the game.
HYPOCRITE!
Don't you see
There are hypocrites everywhere
in every walk of life
every station and income level
every religious institution
every workplace
every place of entertainment.
To say that you will not attend church
or be seen in public with
"this type of person"
or
"that type of person"
because they are hypocrites
then form your own associations
based only on appearance
is in itself hypocritical.
Most people who support
the local pub
are not hypocrites
but there are some who are.
Most people who attend church
the mosque, synagogue or temple
are not hypocrites
but there are some who are.
Most people in your workplace are genuine
and true
but there are some who are not.
Whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things. (KJV Bible)
