Thank You, Lord, For My Children

I may have put this prayer into words, but I know that all my readers who have a faith in God, have already said this prayer many times in their hearts.
Thank you, Lord, for my children,
And letting me watch them grow,
Into adults with whom I can be so proud,
And pray that You'll let me show,
That I will be there to encourage them,
To strengthen, help and support,
To show them the love of the Father,
And give them a good report.
And please let them know that I love them,
By pointing the way to You,
So they won't be caught in the Judgment,
And say that they never knew.
And Lord, in your wonderful mercy,
Please sanctify, set them aside,
And honour the things they've committed to You,
'Till, there by Your side they abide.

David, again, so full of loving messages, and heart. You put your whole soul and heart into your poems, that make them real. I can literally "See" what you are saying, and the messages you send are very powerful. I hope you gave your kids a copy of this poem...they deserve it, and deserve to know how much love went into this. It is so full of heart. Well done my friend, I felt the passion for your loved ones....Great write, and read....your pal, fan, and friend in pen......GaryThanks Gary. Why is it that, often when I write a poem like this, I sit here and blubber like a baby? I guess I really should send this to my kids. My daughter is a strong Christian, but my son, as wonderful as he is, is not serving the Lord. My prayer is that he and his wife will come to know Christ as their saviour.
Perfectly Perfect Prayer Dear David.
I wonder how the good Lord works. You see my eldest son age 21 clearly told me this evening at 10.30 Pm India timing that he would not not like to graduate in catering college.
i was in great pain, and blamed my wife for poor regulations at home. You see so long the full past 5 days away from Bombay as i was in Goa at my ancestor's place was wanting to create a havoc in my house for a bad rapport at his college, but this evening itself on the very first day at home in Bombay(mumbai) he kissed knelt down and told me that he is not interested to g anymore to college even though just a another year was all that the had to do to complete his graduation. Possibly God has a different plan, i forgave him, and told him fine fine fine.
What else could i do with a son of 21 years falling at my feet and telling me to " please allow me to get hold of any other job/ or anything but let me leave this hospitality industry college.
You see it took me not more than 3/4 of a second to forgive, and say OK fine. let us find some other solution son.
God bless David God bless.
love and regards to you and do pray.
Antonio Jose Dias.Thank you, Antonio, for sharing your story with me. It is difficult to tell someone of the age 21 what to do with their life. All we can do is gently council them and pray. But, as you know, prayer is a very strong thing, especially because we can trust God to answer. I encourage you to keep praying for your son, as God knows what is best and will provide the answer. Just have faith. God loves your son, as you do also, and wants the very best for himl
God bless your richly,
David
